Poem
Storm

Grey clouds scowl, clinging to the unkempt sky.
Ground boils under the onslaught of the demon rain.
Rivers rushing down roads, awash with misery,
Pavements engulfed by a failed drain.

Frozen hands stuffed in wet pockets gain no warmth.
Dripping hair clings to a collar in disarray.
Tears are hidden among the rain spatter.
Body contorted, bent against the spray.

A blazing shaft of light rends the black heavens,
Illuminating the solitary figure below.
You stand amazed in God's floodlight.
He loves you, He watches over you.
He will protect you!
